About Us

Marilyn Cubias-Estrada is the President of Regul8 Housing Compliance and has almost 20 years experience in the affordable housing industry. After earning her Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from Texas State University- San Marcos, she began her career in affordable housing at the City of Austin Housing Authority managing a caseload of over 300 families receiving assistance through the Housing Choice Voucher Program. She then decided to explore and learn more about HUD programs by working at one of the top performing Performance Based Contract Administrators (PBCAs) in the country; Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation. In 2019, Marilyn decided she wanted to pursue a career in the private sector and went to work at Sandalwood Management based in Austin, Texas overseeing a portfolio of 29 properties with Project Based Rental Assistance and Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC). Over the course of her career, Marilyn has tackled every area of non-compliance with efficiency and diplomacy.

Marilyn is a Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS) and a Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP).

In her free time, Marilyn enjoys cooking, fishing at the coast and spending time with her family and new grandbaby.
